Not sure if there are carpenter ants, but think twice about killing these black ants they clean house! Extermination power, spray or hot water is pretty inhumane.
These large black ants adore anything with sugar water and the termites queen is really large too and as you can see from these ant photos, they are red, like fire ants

Fantastic huge black ants! These creepy crawlies were very busy creating their own paradise, creepy enough to give you ants in your pants as they crept in and out of the ants nests
