Newborn kittens with their nursing mother.
One of the kittens delivered her kittens in the back seat of my MG, I didn't get the chance to see the birthing process with her, that mother cat, the grey in these photos, delivered her babies 3 days before her sister began to deliver her newborn babies.
Like mother like daughter, Splodge delivered her first kitten with almost identical markings to herself, her labour, as you can see from the photo, was rather painful.

Kittens are born blind and by instinct they know where to go to feed from their mother and mew really loud if the mother tries to get in a more comfy position!
